Submission Guidelines

Overview

We celebrate the creative partnership between human authors and AI, showcasing fiction that harnesses the unique strengths of both. Our platform welcomes stories that demonstrate innovative uses of AI tools to enhance storytelling while maintaining the human element that makes stories memorable.

Basic Requirements

 

• All submissions must be in English

• Work must be original and previously unpublished

• No copyrighted material may be included unless it is the author's original work

• Authors retain all rights to their work

AI Usage and Attribution

 

• Use of AI tools in the writing process is encouraged

• Authors must disclose:

  • Which AI tools were used in creation

  • How the AI tools were implemented in the writing process

  • The approximate balance of human/AI contribution

• Be transparent about your collaborative process - we're interested in understanding how you worked with AI to enhance your storytelling

Content Guidelines

 

• No explicit sexual content, hate speech, or excessive violence

• Offensive or discriminatory content will not be accepted

• Political themes are acceptable if thoughtfully handled and not propagandistic

Story Essentials

• Tell a complete story with a compelling beginning, middle, and end

• Create memorable characters that drive the narrative

• Build meaningful conflict and satisfying resolution

• Maintain clear focus and purpose throughout

• Show mastery of language and storytelling craft

AI Partnership

• Use AI thoughtfully to enhance rather than replace human creativity

• Demonstrate innovative ways AI helped strengthen your story

• Maintain authentic emotional resonance in your narrative

• Be transparent about how AI tools contributed to your process

Quality Standards

• Present polished, well-edited work

• Avoid clichés or elevate familiar tropes in fresh ways

• Create emotional impact that resonates with readers

• Show originality in either concept or execution

Formatting Requirements

 

• Stories must be submitted in the form field provided

• Use standard text. Avoid reliance on formatting.
   

Submission Process

 

1. Find a competition you want to enter

2. Pay the entry fee

3. Complete the submission form

Additional Terms

 

• You must be 13 or older to submit

• Those under 18 need parent/guardian permission. Please include note from parent and their contact details.

• Multiple submissions are welcome

• Judges' decisions are final

• Selected works may be featured on our platform or in anthologies (with author permission)
